It seems like the sequin trend is here to stay and I ain’t mad at all! My style is all about the shine—the flash, but the key to making sequins work day or night is moderation—unless of course you actually WANT to look like a disco ball, and in that case, shine on sistah girl. If your goal is to be on trend, I suggest using a sequin piece as the main attraction without any other distraction. For instance, when wearing a sequin blazer, pair it with your favorite skinny jeans and a plain white tank or tee or for an urban chic look. If you aren’t comfortable with that much shine you can use it as an accent by pairing your favorite LBD with a killer pair of sequin platform pumps or even just throw on some sequin chandelier earrings. The possibilities are endless, just remember, less is more.
