GREAT NEWS!!! It has been reported that Saks Fifth Avenue in my fair city –the N-Y-C –will be adding plus sized garments to their high end floor. Most of the labels will only offer up to a size 14 but some may carry up to a 20.
Racked reports that Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC will soon add plus-sized garments to its high-end floor. While clothes from most luxury labels were previously sold only up to a size 10, size 14s will hit the shelves from Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Akris, Armani, Carolina Herrera, Escada, Donna Karan, St. John, Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara, Valentino, Michael Kors, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Fendi and Roberto Cavalli. Some pieces will be available in sizes 16 to 20.
According to Racked, Saks will stock everything from pantsuits to evening wear. The catch? For most items, you’ll find only one of each size. If the initiative is successful in Manhattan, Saks will stock the plus-size clothes in stores around the country. Read more at The Huffington Post
Can you imagine the lines outside the store when the extended sizes are rolled out? Especially since there will be just one of each size? Be clear ya’ll, I will CUT a b-tch for a size 20 Chanel suit. Consider yourself warned.
